Hi there! My name is Amy Allen. I am a speech-language pathologist and owner for Speech & Language Builders. I received my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from UNL in August 2016 and earned my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) in July 2018. I am also licensed in both Nebraska and Kentucky.
I worked in the public schools for 6.5 years and in a private practice clinical setting for about a year. I quickly fell in love with the private practice setting and became interested in creating my own. I started Speech & Language Builders in August 2023. I truly enjoy collaborating with caregivers and teachers to ensure we create a treatment plan that will help children reach their full potential.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young daughters, making candles, and watching football.
